The Axle Bar features an extra-thick, 2” diameter to strengthen your wrists and grip. It’s also short, available in 5’ or 7’ lengths, and it weighs just 17lbs or 22lbs, respectively. (By comparison, the Basic Barbell is 1.2” thick, 7.3’ long, and weighs 44.1lbs.)

The Axle Bar comes with specialty collars, although standard collars are compatible. It is finished with a durable matte black powder coating throughout the entire barbell. It works with 2” Olympic iron plates and bumper plates on its sleeves, which are 13.8” (for the 5’) and 15.8” (for the 7’ bar). The Axle Bar can handle a 700lb load.
