REP’s lightweight, aluminum Technique Barbell is ideal for Olympic weightlifting training. It features light/medium-depth knurl with dual (IWF and IPF) knurl markings for even hand placement on the barbell, no matter the lift. The knurl is enough for a good grip for lighter loads, but not so much that you’ll tear up your hands during high-volume training. The lack of center knurling also allows for comfort during high-volume training.

This bar weighs 15lbs and is 72” long in total/51.5” between collars, so it fits on standard-width Olympic squat and power racks. The Technique Barbell has a bushing sleeve; this produces plenty of rotation, but it spins slower, making it great for training technique. Its bare aluminum shaft with black zinc sleeves creates a sharp, contrasted look. With a 28mm diameter, this bar is compatible with regular plates (with 2” diameter holes), but it has a 200lbs max. It’s intended for technique training using light loads.
