The TURBO JAV and LONG TOM were created by the legendary Tom Petranoff, former world record holder, to teach the fundamentals of the javelin throw as well as to assist accomplished throwers. This line of training implements’ unique design allows the thrower to achieve the same distance and flight as with an aluminum javelin, but only if thrown with proper technique.
Use the TURBO JAV to introduce the event to young age group athletes and develop the fundamentals of throwing. Experienced throwers can use the LONG TOM to train for competition. (The 300 gr. Turbo Jav is the competition weight used in Bantam and Midget divisions of USATF Youth Athletics.)
